How to Compare University Entry Requirements
A high overall score does not automatically mean that you meet every course requirement. A reliable comparison looks at the total score, required subjects and programme-specific selection rules together.

Start with the exact programme
Use the latest prospectus or programme page rather than a general university summary. Write down the minimum total score, compulsory subjects, minimum percentages and any portfolio, test, interview or placement requirement.
Compare like with like
Do not assume that one university score can be copied into another application. Recalculate using each institution’s method. Keep a simple shortlist with reach, realistic and safer choices, but remember that published minimums can still be affected by space and competition.
Check the details before applying
Confirm the correct application year, campus, qualification code and closing date. Apply early where possible and retain copies of your submitted results and supporting documents.
