Which price should I use?
Enter the retail price at your filling station for your required grade and location. Petrol and diesel are different products. Official diesel schedules describe wholesale prices; retail diesel pump prices can differ.
Latest announcement checked
The government announcement dated 5 October 2026 states fuel adjustments effective 7 October 2026. This page does not publish an unverified inland/coastal pump-price table. Follow the official schedule and record its effective date.
Where to find the schedule
Use the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources fuel-price page linked below. The fuel type selector in the calculator does not set the price.
Forecasts and updates
Forecasts are estimates until an official announcement is issued. No forecast is presented here as a confirmed price. Check the latest official schedule before each trip.

Example only, not today’s price: 100 km at 8 L/100 km needs 8 litres. At R20/litre, fuel costs R160 or R1.60/km.
