Brickforce Prices: Compare Roll Quotes in South Africa

Compare brickforce prices for the same product specification and roll length. Multiply the number of full rolls by your current quoted roll price and add delivery. A listed price for a different width or finish is not an equivalent quote.

What changes a brickforce price?

The specified strip width, wire diameter, coating, product form, roll length and supplier can affect the quote. Delivery, tax treatment and promotions can change the final paid amount too. Record the exact product and quote date so a later comparison still makes sense. Do not compare only the headline Rand amount while ignoring what each roll contains.

Compare Builders and Build it on the same basis

For Builders or Build it searches, obtain a current quote from the selected store for the actual product. Check availability, collection or delivery terms and promotion dates. A historic leaflet does not establish today’s price. 99Tools is independent and does not present retailer prices as live stock data or claim a relationship with either business.

Price per metre can help compare equal products

Divide the quoted price per roll by the labelled metres per roll. For a hypothetical R60 roll containing 20 m, the arithmetic is R3 per nominal metre. This does not account for laps, cutting or unused stock and is not a current market quote. Compare that figure only across products that meet the same required specification.

Worked project budget

Suppose the quantity estimate requires nine full rolls and your hypothetical quote is R60 per roll with R100 delivery. Material cost is R540, so the entered purchase budget is R640. Use consistent VAT treatment in the quotes because the calculator adds the figures as entered. Labour and other work remain separate. These figures are examples, not a supplier price list.

Check a 2026 price list before using it

A year in a title does not prove a price remains valid. Confirm the product identifier, selected store, quote date, tax basis and expiry. If a rate cannot be confirmed, leave it out of the budget and request a fresh quote. The calculator starts with zero price inputs so an unverified amount cannot appear as a live default.

Keep the order specification with the budget

Save the required roll count beside width, wire size, finish, labelled roll length and any cutting assumptions. Check whether delivery is charged once for the order or separately for different suppliers. A lower price should not be used to replace the specified reinforcement with an unsuitable product. Confirm the completed order and installation schedule with the responsible contractor.

Frequently asked questions

What is brickforce?

Brickforce is steel wire reinforcement installed in masonry mortar bed joints. It helps distribute tensile stresses and control cracking within a specified wall system.

How do I calculate brickforce?

Multiply run length by identical runs and specified layers, then add required laps, detail lengths and a cutting allowance. Divide by roll length and round up full rolls.

How long is a roll of brickforce?

20 m rolls are common in South African listings, but use the actual labelled length of your selected product. Width in mm is a separate measurement.

How much is brickforce wire?

Price depends on the product, width, wire diameter, coating, supplier and date. Enter a current price per roll to calculate your material and delivery budget.

What do 75 mm, 150 mm and 230 mm mean?

They describe strip width. They do not state the roll length or prove suitability for a particular wall; use the specified product.

How should I use brickforce in a wall?

Follow the project and manufacturer instructions for the product, positions, mortar bedding, cover, laps and detailing. This calculator counts an entered schedule and does not set those requirements.

Does the calculator set reinforcement spacing or laps?

No. Enter the specified layers and lap information. The optional course-interval calculation is a geometric estimate only.
