How to Split Group Accommodation Costs Fairly
The simplest group split divides genuinely shared costs equally. A fairer arrangement may separate private rooms, extra nights or individual purchases before dividing the remaining total.

Define the shared total
Combine the accommodation price, cleaning fee, booking fee and shared taxes. Keep refundable deposits and personal purchases separate so they do not distort what each person owes.
Choose the split method
An equal per-person split works when everyone stays for the same period and uses similar space. For different arrival dates or private rooms, calculate person-nights or allocate room costs first, then divide common fees.
Write down the result
Share the cost breakdown before money is collected. Record who paid the booking amount and who still owes money. Update the calculation if guest numbers or dates change.
