How to Use the Fuel Cost per Km Calculator South Africa
Cost per km = L/100 km ÷ 100 × fuel price. Convert km per litre with 100 ÷ km per litre. Monthly fuel cost = cost per km × monthly distance.

Worked example (illustration only)
8 L/100 km at R20/litre costs R1.60/km, R16/10 km and R160/100 km. 12.5 km per litre gives the same consumption. Prices are examples.
